At West Maitland Dentistry, we know that dental emergencies happen, sometimes at no fault of your own either. If you experience a dental emergency don’t wait, come in and see us immediately. Before coming in though, it is important to know what constitutes as a true dental emergency.
Sometimes throughout our daily activities, a tooth might chip or crack. When that happens it is important to save the damaged part of the tooth so it can be fixed. Depending on how much of the tooth breaks off, there are different treatment options available. If only a small part of the tooth breaks off it can be repaired using dental composite. In more extreme cases though a crown or a complete tooth pull might be necessary.
If you lose a tooth, make sure to keep the teeth clean and moist and get to the dentist as soon as possible. If you can, re-insert the tooth into the socket as carefully as possible.
Tooth pain can be caused by a variety of factors. When you come in complaining to tooth pain, we will run some simple tests to try and narrow down the tooth or teeth that are effected to better understand the cause. After determining the cause of the pain, Dr. Dhaliwal will determine the best way to fix the issue.
